Veterinary revenue divides into emergency work that arrives without warning and preventive care that only happens if somebody remembers it. Vaccinations, boosters, flea and worm treatment and health plans are predictable, profitable and entirely dependent on a reminder going out.

The out-of-hours question is the other half. An owner with a distressed animal at midnight is not comparing practices, they are calling whoever their search returns first with a number that works, and what happens on that call decides whether they register.

The search side is not separate from that. "Vet near me" and "emergency vet" at all hours, plus specific searches for vaccinations, neutering and pet health plans. Ranking for those means the pages exist, the business is verified where it operates, and the reviews are real and recent.

How a visit moves through a veterinary practice

Most of a practice's predictable income depends on what happens after the animal has gone home.

  1. Owner gets in touch

It stalls when routine bookings tie up the phone a sick animal needs, and it moves when routine visits are booked online and the line stays free.

  2. Consultation and treatment

It stalls when notes, estimates and the bill are written up after the last appointment, and it moves when they are captured in the room.

  3. Paying and going home

It stalls at the desk when the invoice is rebuilt by hand from the notes, and it moves when the treatment record already holds every line.

  4. Next vaccination due

It stalls when the due date sits in a record nobody reads, and it moves when the reminder goes out by itself with a link to book.

What people in this trade ask us

Can owners book routine appointments themselves?
Yes, against real availability and only for appointment types you allow. Emergencies stay on the phone, because triage is a conversation and should be.
Will reminders annoy clients?
Not at the frequency preventive care needs, and the data is consistent on this: owners are grateful for a vaccination reminder and irritated by a marketing email. We send the first and not the second.
Can we sell health plans through the site?
Yes, with recurring payment. Practices with a high plan take-up have a fundamentally more stable business than practices without one.
Can we send reminders from the records we already have?
Usually, if the practice software lets the due dates out. We check what yours exports before promising anything, because some systems keep that data closed.
Should the out-of-hours arrangement be on the site?
Yes, in plain words and on every page footer: who answers at night, where they are and what the owner should do first. An owner searching at midnight needs that answer before anything else.

The infrastructure under it

Managed by the engineers who build the software, on the same contract and the same bill.

Backup & Recovery

Clinical histories and imaging are needed for the animal's whole life, often ten years or more.

Application Hosting

Booking and health plan renewals have to work on a Sunday night, when most owners actually get round to them.

What one contract covers

  • One contract. The build, the infrastructure and the work that brings people to it, on one invoice.
  • A named team. The person on the first call stays on the project. No account managers, no handoffs.
  • Operated, not delivered. We keep it running after launch: patching, backups, monitoring and the phone when it breaks.
  • European hosting. Servers in Europe, run by us, with the data staying where you expect it to.
  • Monthly reporting. What changed, what it cost and what it produced, in language you can forward to a board.
  • No lock-in. The code, the domains and the accounts are yours. Leaving is a handover.

See what is costing you customers before you spend anything.

A senior engineer walks your site, your search presence and the way enquiries reach you, then writes down the three things worth fixing first.

  1. 01You tell us what is not working
  2. 02We review the site, the search presence and the enquiry path
  3. 03You get the three fixes worth doing, and what each is worth
