A garage's repeat business is entirely predictable and almost entirely uncollected. Annual inspections and services fall due on a known date for every vehicle you have ever touched, and most garages have that data and never use it.

The other half is the booking. A driver whose car is making a noise wants to know when you can look at it, and a phone line that is engaged during working hours sends that job to the garage down the road.

The search side is not separate from that. "Garage near me", "MOT" or the local inspection term, plus "tyres" and "car service" with a town. Ranking for those means the pages exist, the business is verified where it operates, and the reviews are real and recent.

How a car moves through a garage

From the first call to the next reminder, the work in the bay is rarely where the day is lost.

  1. Booking the car in

It stalls when the phone rings out while everyone is under a car, and it moves when the driver books a real slot online.

  2. Diagnosis and approval

It stalls when the extra work is explained on a call the customer misses, and it moves when they get the quote with photos and approve it by link.

  3. Parts and repair

It stalls when parts are ordered after the car is on the ramp, and it moves when the job card lists them at booking.

  4. Collection and payment

It stalls at the desk when the invoice is typed from scribbled notes, and it moves when the job card is already the invoice.

Mecanic

Mecanic is workshop software we built for repair shops: work orders, bays, parts and invoicing, for the Romanian market.

What people in this trade ask us

Do reminders actually work?
In this trade they are the highest-return thing you can do. The customer intends to come back and forgets; a message on the due date converts at a rate no advertising matches.
Should we publish prices?
For standard jobs, yes. It removes the price call, filters the shoppers, and the garages that do it report better-quality enquiries rather than fewer.
Can customers book online?
Yes, against real capacity and only for job types you allow. Diagnostics can stay a conversation; a service does not need to be one.
Can we send the customer photos of what we found?
Yes, from the mechanic's phone straight into the job, with the quote for the extra work beside them. Customers approve faster when they can see the worn part themselves.
Can customers pay before they arrive to collect?
A payment link can go out with the finished invoice, so collection is a handover of keys rather than a queue at the desk. Card at the counter still works for those who prefer it.

The infrastructure under it

Managed by the engineers who build the software, on the same contract and the same bill.

Application Hosting

Online booking and reminders run day and night against the workshop diary, so they need hosting that stays up.

Backup & Recovery

Service history and due dates for every vehicle are the garage's repeat business, and losing them loses the reminders.

What one contract covers

  • One contract. The build, the infrastructure and the work that brings people to it, on one invoice.
  • A named team. The person on the first call stays on the project. No account managers, no handoffs.
  • Operated, not delivered. We keep it running after launch: patching, backups, monitoring and the phone when it breaks.
  • European hosting. Servers in Europe, run by us, with the data staying where you expect it to.
  • Monthly reporting. What changed, what it cost and what it produced, in language you can forward to a board.
  • No lock-in. The code, the domains and the accounts are yours. Leaving is a handover.

See what is costing you customers before you spend anything.

A senior engineer walks your site, your search presence and the way enquiries reach you, then writes down the three things worth fixing first.

  1. 01You tell us what is not working
  2. 02We review the site, the search presence and the enquiry path
  3. 03You get the three fixes worth doing, and what each is worth
