About this service
WordPress sites get slow and fragile when they are assembled from a heavy theme and thirty plugins. We build on a lightweight block theme with only the plugins the site needs, so it loads quickly, updates safely and lets your team edit pages in the block editor without touching code.
The heavy theme problem
Many WordPress sites are built on multipurpose themes sold as able to do anything. They load sliders, animations, icon libraries and page builder code on every page, whether you use them or not. The result is a slow site from day one, which then gets a caching plugin and an optimisation plugin to hide the problem.
We build on a lightweight block theme and add only what the site needs. Fewer plugins also means fewer updates, fewer conflicts and fewer security holes. A typical business site we build needs well under fifteen plugins, and each one is listed in the handover with why it is there.
Built so your team can edit it safely
Sites built with heavy page builders often break when a non-designer edits them. A section gets dragged out of place, the mobile layout goes wrong, and someone has to call the developer. Over time, people stop updating the site because they are afraid of it.
We create reusable block patterns for each page type: a service page, a case study, a team member, a location. Your team adds new pages by choosing a pattern and filling in the text, and the layout stays consistent on every device.
Launch includes redirects from any old URLs, so links from other sites and search results still work. Forms are tested with real submissions, and analytics are confirmed to be recording before we hand over.

Questions
Do you use Elementor or Divi?
Only if you already rely on one. For new sites we prefer the native block editor, which is lighter and will not lock you into a paid builder.
Who hosts it?
You do, on an account in your name. We recommend managed WordPress hosting and set it up if needed.
What about updates after launch?
You can run them yourself using the guide, or move onto a care plan where we update, back up and monitor monthly.
