About this service

The expensive part of a video is changing it after it is animated, so nothing is animated until the script and storyboard are signed off. What arrives is a finished film plus the cuts and subtitle files you need to actually use it.

The script is where the money is saved

Changing a sentence in a script costs ten minutes. Changing the same sentence after it has been animated, voiced and timed costs a week and a re-record. That asymmetry is the whole reason this offer is built the way it is: nothing moves until the script and the storyboard are signed off.

It is also where most video projects go wrong. A brief that says make us a video about what we do produces a film that says what you do, which is not the same as a film that makes somebody understand why it matters to them.

  • A script revised freely, because that is the cheap stage
  • A storyboard, so the film is agreed before it moves
  • Licensed voice and licensed music, with the licence in your name
  • Cuts sized for the places you will actually post it
  • Subtitles as separate files, so they can be corrected or translated

Where the sixty seconds go

A minute is roughly a hundred and fifty words, which is less than most companies want to say. Deciding what to leave out is most of the work, and the version that tries to include everything is the version nobody finishes watching.

Most of what is posted is watched without sound. Subtitles are not an accessibility afterthought here; they are how the majority of the audience receives the film, and they are delivered as separate files so you can fix a word without re-rendering.

What you get

Everything below is in the price. Nothing here is an upgrade.

  • Script, revised until approved
  • Storyboard
  • Animated film with licensed voice and music
  • Platform cuts in the ratios you named
  • Subtitle files, separate from the video

What changes

  • A single film that answers what you do and why it matters
  • A script approved before any production cost is spent
  • Cuts sized for the places you will actually post it
  • Subtitles as separate files, so they can be corrected or translated

How it runs

  1. Script

Written and approved first, because a script change costs a paragraph and an animation change costs a week.

  2. Storyboard

Every scene as a frame, so the film is agreed before it moves.

  3. Produce

Animation, voice and sound, with licensing handled in your name.

  4. Cut

Platform versions and subtitle files, delivered together.

Questions

Live action or animation?

Animation and screen capture, delivered remotely. Live filming is a different cost structure and is quoted separately.

Who owns the voice and music?

You hold the licence, and it is delivered with the files. No track ever arrives without its licence attached.

How many script revisions?

Until it is right, within reason, because that is the cheap stage. Revisions after animation begins are quoted.
