About this product

Backup and replication for virtualised infrastructure — the standard choice when your servers run as virtual machines. Licensed, configured and monitored by us, with replicas ready to start if the primary site goes down.

Built for virtual machines

When servers run on a hypervisor, backing them up machine by machine wastes storage and time. This works at the hypervisor level: it copies whole virtual machines efficiently, keeps only the blocks that changed, and can start a VM directly from its backup while the full restore runs.

Replication goes a step further. A copy of each critical VM is kept on a second host, at a second site, close to current, so a failure is answered by switching over rather than by restoring.

What is the difference between backup and replication?

A backup is a copy you restore from, kept for weeks or months. A replica is a ready-to-run copy kept current, for switching over in minutes. Most estates need backup for everything and replication for the few systems that cannot wait.

Who holds the encryption keys?

You do, and so do we, documented in your account. Nobody leaving either company can take the only copy with them.
