About this service
YouTube ranks videos on whether people click and keep watching. The title, thumbnail and opening seconds decide that more than any tag does. We rework those for your existing videos, set up the channel to keep viewers moving between them, and make sure videos embedded on your own site can appear in Google's video results.
What YouTube is actually measuring
YouTube does not rank videos mainly on their keywords. It shows a video to a small group of likely viewers, watches whether they click and how long they stay, and widens or narrows its reach from there. Metadata tells YouTube who to test the video on. The thumbnail, title and first 30 seconds decide whether the test goes well.
That is why we start with the channel's own analytics rather than a keyword tool. Click-through rate shows which titles and thumbnails fail to earn the click. Audience retention shows exactly where viewers leave. A video with a strong click rate and a cliff at 0:20 has a different problem from one nobody clicks, and the fix for each is different.
Getting site video into Google
Embedding a YouTube video on your site does not mean Google will show your page in video results. Usually it shows the YouTube page instead, and the visit goes there. For Google to treat your page as the video's home, the video must be the main content of that page, marked up with structured data and listed in a video sitemap.
So for videos that matter commercially, such as product demos and how-to guides, we recommend a dedicated watch page with a title, description, transcript and the video at the top. Then the page can rank for the search and keep the viewer on your site.
- Chapters added so the video can appear as key moments in Google results
- A transcript on the watch page, which helps both search and accessibility
- One video per watch page, as the page's main subject

Questions
Do tags still matter on YouTube?
Very little. YouTube says tags mainly help with misspellings. Titles, thumbnails and how long people watch carry the weight.
Can metadata fix a video people stop watching?
No. It can bring the right viewers to it. If most leave in the first 30 seconds, the fix is in the edit or the script, and we will tell you which videos have that problem.
Why would our site video not show up on Google?
Usually because the video sits on a page about something else, or loads in a way Google cannot read. A page whose main purpose is the video fixes most cases.
