About this service
Most app installs start with a search inside the store, and most store pages waste the few fields that store search reads. We research the terms your users type, rewrite your title, subtitle, keyword field and descriptions within each store's limits, and brief screenshots that make the case in the first three frames.
Two stores, two different rule books
The App Store and Google Play index listings differently, and copying one listing onto the other wastes both. On the App Store, search reads the 30-character title, the 30-character subtitle and a hidden 100-character keyword field. Repeating a word across those fields gains nothing, so every character should carry a different term. The long description is not indexed for search at all.
Google Play reads the title, an 80-character short description and the full 4,000-character description. There, the long description matters and should use your main terms naturally, without stuffing. So the iOS listing is a tight puzzle of keywords, and the Android listing is closer to a short web page. We write each one for its own store.
The install decision happens in three screenshots
Ranking in store search gets you seen. The listing page decides whether people install. Most visitors never scroll past the first screen, which on a phone is the icon, the title, the rating and the first two or three screenshots. If those screenshots show settings menus or a login screen, the visitor has learned nothing.
We brief each frame with one message and one supporting visual, in the order a new user would want to know them. Both stores now let you test listing variants against each other, so the larger package sets up two experiments with a clear hypothesis. Then the next round of changes comes from your own data rather than opinion.
What you get
Everything below is in the price. Nothing here is an upgrade.
- Keyword research per store and market
- Title, subtitle, keyword field and short description written to character limits
- Full description for Google Play written for its search index
- Screenshot and preview video brief, frame by frame
- Competitor listing comparison
What changes
- Every character of the indexed fields used, with no word repeated across them
- Separate copy for the App Store and Google Play, because the two stores index differently
- First three screenshots that state what the app does without the viewer reading the description
- A test plan for the store's own listing experiments

Questions
How soon do keyword changes show?
On the App Store, metadata changes go live with an app update or approved listing change, and rankings settle over a few weeks. Google Play reacts more slowly and less predictably.
Do you design the screenshots?
We write the brief: message, order and layout per frame. Design is available as an add-on or through our app design offer.
Can ASO fix bad ratings?
No. Ratings come from the product. We can suggest when to ask for a rating so happy users are the ones being asked.
