About this service
If your site redirects visitors to spam, shows a browser warning, sends junk email or has been flagged by Google, we clean it. That means finding every infected file and database entry, removing backdoors that would let the attacker back in, finding and closing the original weakness, and requesting removal from blocklists. Cleaning without closing the hole means reinfection within days.
Cleaning is half the job
Many hacked sites are cleaned and reinfected within days. The visible malware is removed, but the attacker left backdoors: small files hidden among legitimate ones, extra admin accounts, code tucked into the database or a theme file. And the original weakness, often an outdated plugin, a stolen password or a vulnerable form, is still open.
We remove the malware, then hunt for backdoors across files, database and user accounts. We compare core files against clean originals and look for recently changed files. Then we find how the attacker got in, close that route, update everything and change every password and key. Only then is the site considered clean.
Getting off the blocklists
A hacked site often ends up flagged by Google Safe Browsing, which shows visitors a red warning page, and on email and security blocklists. Traffic and enquiries drop sharply, and your email may start bouncing. These warnings do not lift on their own once the site is clean; someone has to request a review.
Once the site scans clean, we submit review requests to Google through Search Console and to the relevant blocklists. Google usually reviews within a few days. We also check whether any personal data may have been exposed. If it might have been, you may have legal duties to notify the authorities and those affected, and we recommend taking legal advice promptly.

Questions
Can we not just restore a backup?
Only if you know the backup is clean and you close the hole the attacker used. Otherwise you restore the same weakness, and often the infection with it.
How long do Google warnings take to clear?
After a review request, Google usually responds within a few days, sometimes longer. We submit the request as soon as the site scans clean.
Was customer data taken?
We report what we find in logs and files. If personal data may have been exposed, you may have legal duties to report it; take legal advice promptly.
