About this service

Most lists are collected and then ignored. A sequence is a set of emails with an order, a job per message and an exit point, written once and then working every time somebody joins.

A list is not an asset until something is sent to it

Most businesses collect email addresses diligently and then send nothing, because writing the first message is easy and writing the fifth is not. A sequence solves that by being written once: it has an order, a job per message, and an exit point, and it works every time somebody joins without anybody remembering to run it.

Each email is built around one action. Five links competing in one message is how a good list stops converting, and it is the single most common thing we remove.

  • A map first: how many emails, in what order, and what each one is for
  • One action per email, with the rest of the message serving it
  • Subject lines written last, after the message they have to earn a click for
  • Two subject-line variants per email, so month one teaches you something
  • Setup notes precise enough that whoever builds it does not have to guess

Cadence, and the cold list

There is no universal sending rhythm, only one that fits the decision your buyer is making. A three-week considered purchase and a same-day booking need different sequences, and the map is where that is decided rather than assumed.

Reactivating a list that has gone quiet is a different piece of writing from welcoming a new subscriber, and it is in the largest size for that reason. Sending a welcome sequence to a two-year-old list mostly generates unsubscribes.

What you get

Everything below is in the price. Nothing here is an upgrade.

  • Sequence map: how many emails, in what order, with what job each
  • Written emails including subject lines and preview text
  • Two subject-line variants per email for testing
  • Setup notes for your email platform

What changes

  • A welcome sequence that does something other than say welcome
  • One clear action per email rather than five competing links
  • Subject lines written to be opened by the person, not by the filter
  • A measurable point where somebody becomes a lead

How it runs

  1. Map

The sequence: how many, in what order, and what each one is for.

  2. Write

Each email around one action, with the subject line written last.

  3. Vary

Two subject lines per email, so the first month teaches you something.

  4. Hand over

Setup notes precise enough that whoever builds it does not have to guess.

Questions

Do you build it in our platform?

Not in this offer. It arrives written, with setup notes. Building the automation itself sits under Automation and Data.

How often should the sequence send?

The map answers that per sequence. There is no universal cadence, only one that fits the decision your buyer is making.

Can you write for an existing list that has gone cold?

That is the reactivation sequence in the largest package, and it is a different piece of writing from a welcome.
