About this service

If your logo only exists as a small JPEG or a photocopy, every printer, embroiderer and sign maker will ask for a vector file. We redraw it by hand as clean vector paths, not with an automatic trace that leaves wobbly edges. You get AI, EPS, SVG and PDF files ready for any use, from a favicon to a building sign.

Why automatic tracing is not good enough

Every design program has an auto-trace button, and plenty of online tools offer free conversion. They produce a vector file technically, but the result has bumpy curves where there should be smooth arcs, rounded corners where there should be sharp ones, and thousands of anchor points. It looks acceptable on screen at small size and poor on a van or a sign.

We redraw by hand. Each curve is built from a few precise points, straight lines are straight, and corners are sharp where the design intended. The file is small, edits easily and holds up at any size. It also prints and embroiders cleanly, because machines follow paths rather than pixels.

Redrawing what was meant, not what was scanned

A blurry source hides decisions. Is that line slightly curved or meant to be straight? Is that gap a design detail or a printing flaw? Was the font a standard typeface or hand-drawn? Tracing the blur faithfully reproduces the flaws of a photocopy.

We study the source for intent before drawing. Where a font can be identified, we use it. Where something is ambiguous, we make a sensible call and show you. You also get versions you will need sooner or later: one colour for stamps and embroidery, reversed for dark backgrounds and a simplified version for very small sizes.

Questions

Why not use an automatic trace?

Automatic tracing produces lumpy curves and thousands of points that print badly and are hard to edit. A hand redraw looks crisp at any size.

Can you improve the logo while redrawing it?

We fix obvious flaws such as uneven lines. A deliberate redesign is a different job and would be quoted as a logo refresh.

Will you match the font?

We identify the font where possible. If it is a custom or unknown font, we redraw the letters as shapes.
