About this service

A short loop can show a feature, a product in use or a reaction better than a static image, and it plays in emails where video cannot. We design and animate GIFs and their modern equivalents, keeping file sizes small enough that emails do not clip and pages do not slow down.

Where GIFs still beat video

Most email clients do not play video, but most do play animated GIFs. That makes GIFs the simplest way to show movement in a newsletter: a product rotating, a feature in action, a countdown or a playful animation that draws the eye to a button.

Outlook on Windows is the main exception, showing only the first frame. We design that first frame to work on its own, so recipients using Outlook still see a complete, meaningful image rather than a blank or half-drawn frame.

Small files, still sharp

GIF is an old format with limited colours and inefficient compression. A careless GIF can easily be several megabytes, which slows emails, triggers clipping in Gmail and hurts website performance.

We reduce colours, frames and dimensions carefully until the file is small without looking crude. For websites, we also provide WebP or MP4 versions, which offer far better quality at much smaller sizes and are supported by modern browsers.

Each loop is designed to repeat smoothly without a visible jump. A loop that stutters at the end draws attention for the wrong reasons.

  • Email GIFs kept small for fast loading
  • Meaningful first frame for Outlook
  • WebP or MP4 versions for websites
  • Loops that repeat without a visible jump

Questions

Why not use video in emails?

Most email clients do not play video. GIFs play in most, and Outlook shows the first frame, which we design to work alone.

How big can a GIF be?

For email, ideally under one megabyte. We reduce colours and frames to keep quality acceptable at that size.

Can you put our stickers on GIPHY?

We prepare them and help set up a brand channel. Approval for search visibility is GIPHY's decision.
