About this service

3D animation shows a product in ways a camera cannot: exploded views that reveal what is inside, materials catching perfect light, mechanisms moving, the product assembling itself. We model from your CAD or reference photos, match materials and finishes, and animate to a storyboard. The model can be reused for stills and future videos.

Showing what a camera cannot

3D animation earns its cost when it shows things filming cannot. The inside of a sealed device. Every component separating and floating apart in an exploded view. A product in a colour that has not been manufactured yet. Liquid flowing through a system that is opaque in real life. A finish lit perfectly, with no reflections of the studio.

It is less suited to showing people using a product in real life. CGI people are expensive to do well and easy to spot when done badly. Many of the best product films combine both: filmed footage of real use, with 3D sequences for the parts a camera cannot reach.

Materials make or break realism

A 3D model with the right shape can still look fake. The usual reason is materials. Brushed aluminium has fine directional scratches. Soft-touch plastic scatters light differently from gloss. Fabric has visible weave and fuzz at the edges. Glass bends what is behind it. Without these details, a render looks like a toy.

We match materials against physical samples wherever possible, and against close-up photos otherwise. Lighting is set to show off form and finish rather than flatten them. The model built for the animation then becomes an asset: once made, it can produce stills in any colour or angle, often more cheaply than a photo shoot of every variant.

Questions

We have no CAD files. Can you still model it?

Yes, from photos and measurements, or from the physical product. It takes longer, which is reflected in the largest package.

Why choose 3D over filming?

3D shows what cameras cannot: inside views, perfect finishes and products that do not exist yet. For showing people using a product, filming is usually better.

Can we use the model for website images?

Yes. Once built, the model renders stills in any angle or colour, often cheaper than a photo shoot for a range of variants.
