About this service
We answer specific business questions with evidence: how big is this market, who already serves it, what do they charge, what do customers want that they do not get. We combine desk research from named sources with direct input from your target customers through surveys or interviews. You get findings tied to a decision, not a thick report.
Research tied to a decision
Market research often fails by being general. A report covers market size, trends, competitors and customer attitudes in forty pages, and at the end nobody knows what to do differently. The research was interesting and changed nothing.
We start by writing down the decision the research should inform. Should we launch in Germany? Should we raise prices? Should we build the premium version first? Then we list the questions whose answers would change that decision, and research those. Everything in the final report connects back to the decision, with a recommendation and a confidence level.
Desk research plus real customers
Desk research, drawing on published data, industry reports, competitor websites and public filings, is quick and good for sizing markets and mapping competitors. It is weak on why customers choose, what they would pay and what frustrates them about current options. Those answers come only from asking.
The larger packages combine both. A survey gives you numbers across a meaningful sample, including pricing questions. Interviews give you depth: the reasons, the language customers use, the comparisons they make. Market size is always presented as a range with the method shown, because a single precise figure for a market estimate is rarely as precise as it looks.
- Top-down sizing from published market data
- Bottom-up sizing from customer counts and spend
- Competitor pricing and positioning from public sources
- Customer views from surveys and interviews

Questions
Where do survey respondents come from?
From your customer lists where suitable, or recruited to match your target profile. Respondent incentives in the larger packages are included.
How reliable is market sizing?
It is always an estimate. We show the method and sources so you can judge it, and give a range rather than a single number.
Can you research markets outside Europe?
Yes, for desk research in English and major languages. Surveys in some markets cost more to recruit.
