About this service
Marketplace ads are easy to switch on and easy to lose money with. We fix the listings first, because ads on a weak listing pay for clicks that do not convert. Then we build campaigns that find the search terms that sell, move those into tightly controlled campaigns and cut the rest. Everything is reported against your margin.
Fix the listing before you pay for the click
Marketplace ads put your product higher in search results. They do not change what a shopper sees when they get there. If the main image is weak, the title unclear, the price high against similar products, or the reviews thin, the ad buys clicks that do not convert, and the marketplace lowers your ad rank because of it.
So we look at each product before advertising it. We may recommend leaving some products out of ads until their listing is fixed, and putting the budget behind the ones that already convert well organically. That alone often makes the difference between an advertising cost that eats your margin and one you can live with.
Measuring against margin, not against sales
Marketplace dashboards highlight advertising cost of sale: ad spend divided by ad sales. It is useful but incomplete. A product with a 40 percent margin can afford a much higher figure than one with 15 percent. And some ad sales would have happened anyway through organic search.
We set a break-even point per product from your cost, fees and shipping, then bid to stay under it. We also track total advertising cost as a share of all sales, not just ad sales, which shows whether ads are growing the business or simply buying sales you would have made anyway.

Questions
What is a good advertising cost of sale?
Whatever leaves you profit after product cost, fees and shipping. For a product with a 30 percent margin, ad cost above 30 percent of ad sales loses money on every advertised order. We work it out per product.
Will ads help our organic ranking?
Often, on Amazon especially, because ad sales add to sales history. It is a side effect, not a reason to run ads at a loss indefinitely.
Is ad spend included?
No. The marketplace charges your seller account directly. Our fee covers setup and management.
