About this product

A whole physical machine, reserved for you, provisioned and operated by us. For workloads that need guaranteed performance, large storage or isolation that a shared platform cannot give.

When a virtual server is not enough

Most applications run happily on cloud servers. Some do not: databases that need every bit of disk speed, licences tied to physical cores, compliance rules that require hardware nobody else shares, or steady heavy load where renting the whole machine is simply cheaper.

We specify the hardware with you, provision it in a European datacentre, and operate it: operating system, monitoring, hardware replacement and backups.

Questions

What happens if a component fails?

We work with the datacentre to replace it. Disks are mirrored, so a single disk failure does not stop the server.

Is there a minimum term?

Usually, because the hardware is reserved for you. The term is stated in the quote before you commit.

Can we have our own hardware specification?

Yes, within what the datacentre can supply. We confirm availability before quoting.
