About this product

Virtual servers in European regions, sized to the workload and resized when it changes. Choose managed — we run the operating system, security and backups — or unmanaged, where you get the machine and we keep the platform under it healthy.

Managed or unmanaged, said plainly

Unmanaged means you get root access to a server and you run everything on it. It suits teams with their own operations people who want control and a lower bill.

Managed means we run the operating system for you: hardening, updates, monitoring, backups and the call at night when a disk fills up. You deploy your application; we keep the server it runs on healthy.
