About this service
Naming fails in two ways: the name everybody likes is taken, or the available one means nothing. We generate widely, then cut hard against domain availability, public trademark and company registers, pronunciation in your markets and meaning in other languages. You get a shortlist that survived those checks, not a list of a hundred words.
The shortlist dies at the trademark register
The usual naming process runs backwards. A team spends two weeks agreeing on a favourite, then discovers the domain belongs to someone else and a company in the same sector registered the trademark years ago. By then everyone is attached, and the second choice feels like a defeat.
We screen before anyone falls in love. Every candidate that reaches the shortlist has been searched in the public trademark databases for your markets, checked against company registers, and matched to an available domain or a sensible variant. Names that fail are cut quietly in the background, which is why a shortlist of five has usually started as several hundred.
Said aloud, spelt from hearing, read in another language
A name has to survive being heard on the phone and typed by someone who never saw it written. Invented spellings, doubled letters and silent characters cost you every time a customer searches for you after a conversation. We test each finalist by saying it and asking people to write it down.
Languages bring their own traps. A pleasant word in English can be a slang term in Romanian, a joke in Italian or impossible to pronounce in German. Each shortlisted name is checked for meaning and pronunciation in every language you sell in, by people who speak it natively.
- Descriptive names: clear on day one, hard to protect as a trademark
- Invented names: easy to protect, expensive to make memorable
- Metaphor names: memorable, but the story needs telling
- Compound names: a middle route, often with better domain options

Questions
Is the trademark search a legal clearance?
No. We screen public registers and drop names with obvious conflicts. Before you register or invest in a name, a trademark attorney should run a full clearance, and we hand them our screening notes.
What if we like none of the shortlist?
Tell us why, and the reasons become the brief for a second round. The largest package includes one; on the others it is quoted as a short extension.
Can you guarantee the .com?
We check availability on the day we present. Domains change hands quickly, so register the one you choose the same day.
