About this service
For software that no off-the-shelf tool fits: a client portal, a booking system, an internal platform or a product. We agree a focused first version, build front end, back end and database together on a mainstream stack such as Next.js or Laravel with PostgreSQL, deploy it, and hand over code you own outright.
Mainstream stacks, no lock-in
Custom software becomes a trap when it is written in an unusual framework that only one developer understands. When that developer leaves, every change becomes expensive. Many businesses discover this only when they need to hire someone else.
We build on mainstream, well-documented technologies with large developer communities: TypeScript, Next.js, Node, Laravel, Django and PostgreSQL. The code lives in your repository from day one, with documentation and tests, so another competent developer can pick it up.
A focused first version
The risk in custom software is building too much before learning whether it works. Every extra feature adds time, cost and complexity, and many turn out not to be used. A smaller first version tested with real users gives you better information than a large one built on assumptions.
We start with a specification and prototype of the core flow. Only then do we build the first real version, focused on the users and actions that matter most. New ideas go onto a list for the next version rather than expanding the current one.
Security is part of the first version, not a later phase: proper authentication, role-based permissions, input validation, protection against common attacks and regular backups.
- Specification and prototype before full build
- Weekly staging site you can test
- Authentication, permissions and validation from the start
- Code, documentation and tests in your repository

Questions
Which technology do you use?
Mainstream stacks that are easy to hire for: TypeScript with Next.js or Node, PHP with Laravel, Python with Django, and PostgreSQL. We avoid niche choices that would lock you to us.
Who owns the code?
You do, from the first commit. It lives in your repository.
What if the scope grows during the build?
New ideas go on a list for the next version. If something must be added now, we quote it before starting.
