Cookie Policy
Last updated: March 18, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how GRADAX uses them on our website at gradax.com, and how you can manage your cookie preferences. This policy should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer, phone, or tablet when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work properly, improve performance, and provide information to website owners. Cookies are not programs and cannot access other data on your device. Think of them as small notes that a website leaves on your device to remember things about your visit, like your language preference or whether you are logged in.
2. Types of Cookies We Use
2.1 Essential Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the website to function properly. They enable core features like remembering your cookie consent preferences. The website cannot function correctly without these cookies, and they cannot be disabled.
2.2 Functional Cookies
Functional cookies remember choices you make on our website, such as your preferred theme (light or dark mode) and sidebar layout preferences. They provide enhanced, personalized features so you do not need to re-enter your preferences each time you visit. These are stored in your browser's localStorage and are not sent to our servers.
Note: GRADAX does not currently use any analytics, advertising, or marketing cookies. If we add analytics or tracking tools in the future (such as Google Analytics), this policy will be updated accordingly and we will request your consent before placing any non-essential cookies.
3. Cookies We Use
The table below lists the cookies used on our website, their purpose, duration, and type:
| Cookie Name | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| gradax-theme | Stores your selected theme preferences (light/dark mode) via localStorage. | Persistent | Functional |
| gradax-sidebar-state | Remembers sidebar open/collapsed state via localStorage. | Persistent | Functional |
| gradax-cookie-consent | Records your cookie consent preferences (once implemented). | 1 year | Essential |
4. How to Manage Cookies
You can control and manage cookies in several ways:
Browser Settings
Most web browsers allow you to manage cookies through their settings. You can typically find these in the "Settings," "Preferences," or "Privacy" section of your browser. You can:
- View which cookies are stored on your device
- Delete all or specific cookies
- Block all cookies or cookies from specific websites
- Set your browser to notify you when a cookie is being placed
Here are links to cookie management instructions for popular browsers:
Clearing localStorage
Our functional preferences (theme and sidebar state) are stored in your browser's localStorage rather than traditional cookies. You can clear these by opening your browser's developer tools (usually F12), navigating to the "Application" or "Storage" tab, and clearing localStorage for gradax.com.
Note: Clearing localStorage will reset your theme and layout preferences to defaults. Since we do not currently use any analytics or marketing cookies, there are no tracking cookies to manage.
5. Third-Party Cookies
GRADAX does not currently use any third-party cookies, analytics services, or advertising pixels. We do not share your browsing data with any third party. If we integrate third-party services in the future (such as analytics or embedded content providers), this section will be updated with details about those cookies and links to the relevant third-party privacy policies.
6. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to revisit this page periodically to stay informed about our use of cookies.
