Each type of SERP feature represents a different opportunity to get your content in front of searchers. Featured snippets, for example, appear above the first organic result (sometimes called "position zero") and can dramatically increase visibility and clicks.
The composition of a SERP depends on the query. A search for "best pizza near me" triggers a local map pack, while "how to tie a tie" might show a video carousel and a featured snippet.
